GOVERNMENT RECORDS — SEPTEMBER 26, 2026

A newly published FOIA package makes AARO's 2025 research workshop easier to audit. The strongest new detail is a planning trail: before that meeting occurred, an official was already discussing a follow-on data workshop in early 2026. The released material does not establish whether that second event happened.

What the records add

The primary release, case 26-F-1773, contains a September 14 response identifying 89 responsive pages. It says 19 were withheld completely and portions of the other 70 were redacted. The cited grounds concern deliberative material and personal privacy.

A working agenda places the August 5–6, 2025 meeting at Associated Universities, Inc. in Vienna, Virginia. It explicitly warns that the schedule was tentative. A July email mentions the proposed 2026 event while seeking additional South American research contacts. An agenda proves what organizers scheduled; it is not an attendance log or a transcript of what participants ultimately said.

Put the new release beside the earlier reporting

DefenseScoop's March 16 reporting had already established that approximately 40 government, academic and independent researchers met to work on narrative UAP data. The problem was practical: inconsistent reporting formats make accounts difficult to compare, while automated analysis needs safeguards against bias and fabricated material.

At that time, Pentagon spokesperson Sue Gough described an interest in future collaboration but had no further workshops to announce. That public position does not, by itself, conflict with an earlier internal proposal. Plans can change; establishing what happened requires another record.

John Greenewald's September 25 report usefully distinguishes the new administrative detail from the workshop's previously public purpose. It also identifies gaps, including the result of proposed foreign collaboration and the fate of the follow-on event. This release expands the documentary trail around the meeting; it does not announce a new identification of any UAP.

What would resolve the remaining question

UFOsoldier's next evidence test is specific: look for a dated invitation, final agenda, participant confirmation or resulting report for the contemplated 2026 workshop. Until then, the responsible description is a documented plan with an unestablished outcome. Withheld pages should remain an acknowledged gap, not a place to insert imagined findings.
