George Knapp amplified Fernando Longo's comparison of the public debate around DOW-UAP-PR043 after Devesh Nandal and Avi Loeb released their technical analysis. The analysis argues that the brief infrared target is physically compatible with a fast tactical missile after terrain stabilization and correction for sensor-platform motion.
What changed
The public PURSUE file presents an unresolved 2025 observation from Africa with little narrative context. Nandal and Loeb matched visible terrain to southern Djibouti, used ground-control points to estimate platform motion and tracked the target across roughly four-tenths of a second. Their fitted path is nearly straight and does not show statistically significant acceleration or turning within that short interval.
That work materially improves the discussion because it converts screen motion into a conditional physical model. It also points toward a conventional defense object rather than treating unresolved as a synonym for extraordinary.
What the analysis does not identify
The authors' conclusion is compatibility, not serial-number identification. The public file lacks native range data, full platform telemetry, launch context, a visible impact and an independent sensor track. Their apparent-size and speed estimates depend on assumed altitude and geometry. A missile under thrust or a high-ballistic-coefficient object in coast can both fit the brief track.
Those caveats do not erase the result. They define it. The analysis narrows the plausible set toward a fast missile-like object and shows how terrain can recover information from an otherwise weak clip. It cannot prove a particular weapon type from the public pixels alone.
Why the post is editorially important
UAP social media often rewards the most dramatic interpretation. Knapp's amplification put a prosaic technical explanation in front of an audience accustomed to anomaly claims. The responsible takeaway is not that every PURSUE case has been solved, but that some cases can move toward resolution when analysts publish assumptions, measurement steps and uncertainty.
Assessment
Moderate confidence in a missile-class interpretation; low confidence in a specific model. PR043 is a useful example of scientific progress through constraint. The remaining test is whether AARO can release native telemetry or operational context that confirms or rejects the conditional reconstruction.
