A video reposted by Izaque UFO has become one of the day’s largest UFO posts on X. It describes a dark, vertically oriented object filmed over San Diego on July 19 and compares the silhouette with the online ‘Metapod’ category. The post’s language calls the object enormous.

The clip may show a real object in the camera’s field of view. It does not provide the information required to know that object’s physical size. Apparent size is an angle. Converting it into meters requires distance, focal length, crop history, and reliable landmarks in the same geometry.

Why the silhouette can mislead

A zoomed or compressed image can turn balloons, suspended objects, distant aircraft, birds, drones, and camera artifacts into hard-edged shapes. Autofocus and sharpening can exaggerate a protrusion or erase thin support structures. A recognizable resemblance to an older UFO image is pattern matching, not independent identification.

Investigators should work backward to the earliest file, not forward from the most popular version.

The claim that the object is enormous is therefore unsupported. It could be large and distant, small and near, or visually distorted. Without a second viewpoint or known range, those possibilities remain unresolved.
