Dan Warren posted a longer version of a civilian video and asked viewers to identify the object. The footage is visually interesting, but a social-media copy is the beginning of an investigation, not the end.
Start with provenance
Investigators need the original file, capture device and settings, exact time and location, direction of view, witness account, and the unedited sequence before and after the circulated clip. Re-encoding on X can alter detail and obscure compression artifacts.
Reconstruct the scene
Useful checks include weather, wind, stars and planets, satellite passes, aircraft traffic, balloons, drones, reflections, autofocus behavior, and whether camera movement creates apparent motion. None should be selected merely because it seems plausible; each should be tested against the geometry.
Why ‘unidentified’ is the honest label
The post does not provide enough public context to establish distance, size, or speed. Without those variables, appearance alone cannot distinguish a distant large object from a nearby small one.

Credible as a documented social-media observation; low confidence on identity. Preserve the source, acquire the original, and build a timeline before promoting any explanation—ordinary or extraordinary.
